Software Engineer III, Machine Learning, Compiler
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
Experience with compilers.
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
2 years of experience with performance, large scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, and/or debugging.
Experience with machine learning frameworks, compilation, and/or runtimes.
Experience developing accessible technologies.

Google's Machine Learning (ML) Compiler team is responsible for machine learning compiler infrastructure, standard application programming interfaces (APIs), and compilers for ML accelerators.

Responsibilities
Design and implement various aspects of the operation set (e.g., specification, baseline implementation, test suite, and features).
Work with customers, both inside and outside Google, including TensorFlow, JAX, PyTorch/XLA, XLA, TFLite, and IREE, to distill their requirements and collaborate with them as they are integrating the operation set in their flows.
Build principled and reusable compiler abstractions.
