Job position

Job description
Challenging assignments await you as an expert in computer vision and image processing. You will develop solutions for innovative driver assistance systems and automated driving. The main focus of your work will be the development of algorithms for detecting the vehicle’s surroundings using cameras. You will work together with suppliers to develop specific recognition algorithms and will be the expert responsible for this topic within the company. In the early phase of the project, you will be involved in the requirements analysis and conception and you will create a coherent implementation plan which takes the typical weaknesses of image-processing systems into account. During the implementation phase, you will establish the correct focus and priorities, so that content in the form of vehicle software is completed on time with interface partners. You will use appropriate metrics that reflect performance of the algorithms. If necessary, you will discuss and evaluate various technical measures at the image processing level and implement these in good time. Steering the activities necessary to validate the algorithms and conduct experiments in test vehicles will round off your exciting range of activities.

Skills & requirements
- A university degree in computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering or a comparable degree.

- Expert knowledge or a PhD in computer vision, machine learning, robotics or similar fields (e.g. classification, tracking, reconstruction).

- Practical experience of project work would be advantageous.

- Domain expertise in driver assistance would be a bonus.

- Fluency in English.

- Teamwork and communication skills.
