The team behind many of the key features of Apple Music is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to work on our machine learning platform. You will work alongside research scientists and other engineers to develop and evaluate machine learning systems, and to scale them up to huge data sizes. Your work will directly impact the music listening of tens of millions of Apple Music subscribers as well as influencing the future development of Apple products more widely.
Skills & requirements
•Development experience with an object-oriented programming language such as Java or C++
•Experience implementing machine learning systems at scale
•Experience with data processing and storage frameworks such as Spark, Hadoop, Cassandra, Kafka, etc.
•Knowledge of current machine learning libraries such as Tensorflow, Keras, Pytorch, etc.
•Love of music
•This role may require occasional international travel/ transatlantic travel
In this role you'll be joining a cross-functional team building new product features and making innovative improvements to existing ones. Your own direct responsibilities will centre on designing and building platforms and pipelines to help us apply machine learning to massive datasets in production environments. This role requires someone with solid industry experience as well as machine learning skills, and you’ll have the opportunity to draw on all of your experience working within a small team that thrives on shared enthusiasm for science, engineering and music. You’ll be based at our offices in central London.
Master's Degree in machine learning, statistics, applied mathematics or related field or equivalent.
