Job description
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Seattle team and make critical contributions to the architecture and development of Textio’s natural language processing engine. You will partner closely with other engineers and linguists to create the core pipeline that processes document data from Textio customers worldwide.

We’re not looking for ninjas or rock stars. We want an awesome and trustworthy engineer to lead our most critical investments in natural language, from architecture all the way through implementation.

Skills & requirements
We’d love to hear from you if:

You have a strong background in natural language processing, statistical modeling, and/or machine learning

You have built and deployed services at scale

You’ve worked on products where experimentation and data science are core to development

You’re committed to quality as a top priority, including security and performance

You have a point of view but are low ego

You have a track record of trying and learning new things

Bonus points if you have experience with open source projects in a startup environment.
