Job description
We are looking for a Machine Learning engineer to join our Core Content team.
The focus of the team is to deepen the understanding of how machine learning can scale the company. The team isworking on 50M+ PDF documents (catalogues, magazines, etc.) to figure out new ways to utilize the documents, e.g. detecting and extracting articles, auto-generating social posts, improved experience for the readers on our platform (better search results, recommendations, etc.). This work includes PDF decomposition, image analysis, document structure analysis, text analysis and categorization.
You will be working end to end from idea inception to creating a production system in close collaboration with the team.
What you bring with you
A Master’s degree in CS or equivalent,
Technical depth and 3+ years of practical work experience in machine learning and algorithms,
Ability to gather data and implement ML models and evaluate their accuracy as well as producing production quality code,
Experience with deep learning models; NLP, Image analysis, Text analysis, RNN,
Experience with model validation, verification and visualization,
Excellent communication skills in English.

We currently use Kotlin, Python and Javascript,
Our architecture is microservice-oriented using AMQP,
We deploy multiple times a day on AWS and use Docker Swarm and Kubernetes, MySQL, Redis, Node, etc.,
We strive to be agile (who doesn’t?), but we're not religious about Scrum, Kanban or any other methodology,
We have many cross team guilds where we share knowledge, coordinate efforts, and help each other the best we can,
