Job description
Location: Alpharetta, GA; Seattle, WA; or remote
At DefenseStorm, we protect financial institutions (like banks and credit unions) and other fintechs by building products and services that serve their cybersecurity, cyberfraud, and related compliance needs.
We are looking for experienced engineers to design/build our data layer and build/support the delivery of machine learning-driven products. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing company and join a small but quickly expanding team of creative and passionate individuals committed to bringing ML to DefenseStorm products.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Create machine learning infrastructure (web services, APIs, batch jobs, schedulers)
Design, build, maintain and optimize our data management and analytics pipeline
Engineer data pipelines to perform data analysis, quality assessments, cleaning, imputation and data aggregation tasks
Automate data quality assurance and model performance monitoring
Required Education and Experience
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
Intellectual curiosity and desire to drive new initiatives
Experience developing data-driven products
Understanding of the machine learning model lifecycle
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Experience with container orchestration systems (such as Kubernetes and Docker-compose)
Have empathy towards people who rely on your work
Preferred Education and Experience
Demonstrated interest in statistical modeling and machine learning
Experience in a high growth, rapid software development environment
Development skills in programming languages (such as Python, Java, or similar), relational databases (e.g. SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL), NoSQL databases (e.g. ElasticSearch, Redis, Cassandra, or similar), and data processing frameworks (such as Kafka or Spark)
Interested in cyber security and/or information security domain
