Wyatt AI is a data science consulting company largely focused on sports analytics. We are looking for a mid-level to senior individual on a contracting / freelancing basis to join the team for a period of between 6-12 months (potentially longer). We are looking for someone who is genuinely excited about the combination of data and sports, and is ready to hit the ground running.
You will work on a range of projects, offering your experience and knowledge to help gain footing in this important period. You will be able to develop new key performance metrics in the exciting realm of sports analytics.

Must haves
2+ years of hands-on data science and statistics experience
B.Sc, M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning or other quantitative disciplines
Strong programming skills in Python (numpy, scipy,scikit-learn, pandas, tensorflow, etc.)
Experience building prototype and production AI and Machine Learning Models, specifically involving video
Proficiency with AWS (POC and production solutions)
Experience working with large quantities of data to develop models that work in a stable, production environment
Familiarity with Linux, Git, Jira, CI/CD etc.
A love for sports – and excited about the role data can play
Ability to pivot ideas/planning and solutions at short notice
Strong communication skills as well as be personable and friendly
Nice to have
Strong knowledge of data science algorithms and their limitations (execution speed, memory considerations, etc)
Proficient in a Javascript
Familiarity with database environments (including distributed big data solutions) and functional SQL knowledge
Experience building ETL & Data pipelines
Intense knowledge of various sports and/or players (ideally soccer, ice hockey or tennis)
French language
Experience with reinforcement learning / graph neural networks / transformers
