Biography
Greetings,
My name is Nabanita Dash. I am a fourth year B.Tech. student at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, International Institute of Information and Technology Bhubaneswar (IIIT Bhubaneswar), Bhubaneswar, India. I am pursuing Honors in Computer Science and Engineering.

The effort to build quantitative community needs assessment tools for nonprofits and governments that incorporate the disparate impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic is itself a noble work. As listed in the open positions, I am interested in the role of ML Engineer.

I freelanced part time with Decimal Space working on object detection using Mask R-CNN where I annotated the data to convert it to coco-format and yolov3 format. I interned as a Major League Hacking fellow'20 and working on vision(ResNet, GoogLeNet, vgg, InceptionNet v3,v4), language, reinforcement learning(Dueling DQN, Quantile DQN, Actor-Critic, etc.) models in Julia. I successfully interned as data science intern at PredictivEye Inc. where I worked on enhancing Ad campaigns using Google Analytics and Google Adwords data. I successfully interned at VaridusSG, a venture capital where I was an Analyst, Data Science. My task was to create startup growth datasets, acquire mergers and acquisitions data and ipo data and check if we can predict if the startup will improve on its valuations or not and what precautions it should take to increase its valuations. I did my second year internship at Rourkela Steel Plant, SAIL where I developed a model using single directional LSTMs to predict stock price in one month and achieved 72.6% accuracy.
I have undertaken courses such as Machine learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning and have done several projects related to encoder-decoder models, style transfer and other machine-learning and deep-learning projects.

Apart from that I like working on open-source projects mostly those are hosted on GitHub. I wrote a bash autocomplete script for iterative/DVC and documented it. I worked at SymPy and Haiku during my second year summer and contributed to their codebases. I was a Google Code-In mentor at JuliaLanguage helping students of age 13-18 get introduced to open-source software development. I am a core member of Girlscript, Bhubaneswar. We are trying to reduce the gap of diversity in tech.
